Galatians 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
— Galatians 5:22-23

Lately I've been wondering, if I never told you I was a Christian, would you know I was one? If I spent an hour with you and never mentioned the name Jesus, would my life still reflect Him. See, I have been marked by Jesus but does the fruit I produce reflect that truth? Essentially: does my life reflect the characteristics of God? God in His perfect timing has Ciara (my life group co-leader) and I lead our life group to the book of Galatians where in chapter 5, He tells us exactly what the life of a Christian should look like. A life marked by love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. And to be honest, I don't reflect all 9 of these characteristics. I could use a little help in the long-suffering area and A LOT of help in the self-control arena. I've been writing these notecards out for a while but never really do much with them until one of my high school girls suggested to me that I start carrying them around. So today, I'm tucking this notecard in my wallet and keeping this scripture especially close to my heart because I need this daily reminder. I need to be reminded that my life should reflect these fruits so that you know that I belong to God.
